Looking back through Marnie & Darren’s photos brings me back to a beautiful sunny day. We love the beautiful grounds of the Ancaster Mill and were happy that the newlyweds along with their wedding party braved the heat and mosquitos to sneak off to a beautiful treed area for some fun photos with the whole bunch. Marnie and Darren also had some great personal touches to their celebration such as the greek dancing and cigar lounge. I can’t wait for warm spring days and our fabulous 2014 weddings that are just around the corner!

Describe the vision/theme you had for your wedding in 5 words or less: Simple, elegant, fun.

What are you favorite memories of your wedding day?
Bride: Seeing friends and family from different parts of our lives all having fun together.

Groom: Enjoying scotch and cigars by the fireplace.

Best wedding related decision: Ancaster Mill (Kathy and everyone at the Ancaster Mill made the whole planning process simple and thought of every detail for us), and HRM (We’re so happy with our photos, and Lindsay and everyone at HRM have been so kind and fun to work with).

Favourite detail: The homemade baklava provided by Darren’s Mom and Aunt.

Advice for future brides & grooms: Focus on the things that are really important to you about your wedding, and don’t get too caught up worrying about other details. Graciously accept help when it is offered.

Would you change anything if you could do it all over again? Nothing substantial. Maybe Darren would have worn his fake mustache during our entrance. Marnie would have found a better instructional video on YouTube to learn how to do the traditional Greek wedding dance.

Best surprise of the day: How much food we actually got to eat. The kind people at The Ancaster Mill really took care of us, even following us around with appetizers as we took photos.

Favorite HRM picture from the day (and why?):#345 because of how it captures our natural expressions.
