Kelly & Trevor

{Distillery District Wedding}

I took one look at Kelly’s fabulous shoes and knew that it was going to be a great day full of stunning details (The DJ also thought Niki and I were in our teens (nope, both 30!) which was nice). Kelly and Trevor planned a perfect day with their nearest and dearest. You could feel the love and personal touch that everyone put in to this wedding celebration. We are thrilled to hear how much you love your photos!

Describe the vision/theme you had for your wedding in 5 words or less:  Intimate, fun, city chic, & gourmet.
What are you favorite memories of your wedding day?
Bride: Having my family and best friends there to celebrate with me as I married the love of my life
Groom: The first look – when I turned around and saw my bride for the first time – amazing!
Best wedding related decision: To keep the guest list only to close family and personal friends – this allowed us to have a fantastic gourmet meal, great drinks, and time to spend with everyone.Favourite detail: Favorite detail of the day was by far the cake.  My mom and brother made it from scratch – 4 layers, 4 different flavors and even the frosting was a homemade recipe of my brothers.  It was covered with beautiful sugar peonies as well.  It was a labor of love and it turned out gorgeous and soooooo delicious!

Advice for future brides & grooms: Don’t stress about planning – this should be a fun, happy time.  I do project management/planning for a living, so I found it fun and stress relieving, if you can believe that!  If planning is not your thing, do yourself a favor and hire a planner – you won’t regret it!

Would you change anything if you could do it all over again? Not one thing – our day was perfect

Best surprise of the day: The number of guests who told us that our wedding was the best they had ever been too.  It was an unexpected, but nice surprise!

Favorite HRM picture from the day (and why?): This is hard!  I think it’s a toss up between #296 – in front of the Potting Shed – and #600 which was a night shot – we love them both!

Anything else you’d like to add: We would like to thank Lindsay and Niki for doing such an amazing job – we love our photo’s and are so happy that we have all the memories of the day captured so beautifully.
