Karly + Henrique

This was one of my favourite weddings ever! A brunch wedding in a magical garden with a food truck serving breakfast!! Amazing!

Vision/theme you had for your wedding in 5 words or less: Rustic garden party

What are you favorite memories of your wedding day?
Bride: Hearing Henrique’s vows he had written to me.
Groom: Seeing Karly for the first time.

Best wedding related decision: Having the ceremony and reception in one location & keeping the guest list as small as we felt comfortable with.

Favourite detail:
The eucalyptus wreath on the chapel doors (-Karly).
Karly’s dress (-Henrique).

Advice for future brides & grooms: It should probably go without saying – but do not leave last minute decor items to finish the day/night before your wedding like we did! Things that normally wouldn’t take long can definitely get drawn out when you’re with family and friends visiting and going over last minute plans. The time really flys by and it is nice to be able to relax and enjoy it.

Would you change anything if you could do it all over again?
As a pretty die hard procrastinator, even if I could do it all again I know I’d still be doing last minute prep the night before. And what else is family for if not drinking wine and unfolding paper poms poms with you until midnight before your wedding?! Overall we were really happy and felt so grateful with how everything turned out. At the end of the day we were so excited to be married, which was the point of the day after all!

Best surprise of the day: The gorgeous weather! We were mentally prepared for anything knowing we were taking a risk with an outdoor ceremony and reception. However we were blessed with a perfect, beautiful day.

Ceremony Location: Cranberry Creek Gardens | Officiant: Pastor from the Grooms family church | Cake: A family friend of grooms mother made it. | Dress:  Essence of Australia gown from Jealous Bridesmaids Bridal Studio in Toronto |  Floral Design: La Petite Fleur (St. George ON) |  Hair/Makeup: All done by friends/family |  Caterer: The Yellow Pear foodtruck (St Catharines) | Ceremony ukelele player: Jeremy, a friend of a cousin on brides side played Eddie Vedder’s song ‘Rise’ for the processional.
