Courtney + Matt

{Family Farm Innerkip Ontario Wedding Photography}

As soon as we arrived to photograph this wedding I knew it was going to be amazing! Courtney and Matt decided to see each before the ceremony for a private first look not too far from their ceremony site – it was a perfect backdrop for their casual country themed wedding. Their wedding party was filled with their closest friends and family and they helped make it a fun filled day! I was so happy when the sun came out during the ceremony so we could all take in their amazing venue (Courtney’s parent’s property!). As we were capturing them by the fire at the end of the night the moon came out at the perfect time! We loved every moment of this day and we were so happy to a apart of it! Congrats Courtney & Matt!

Describe the vision/theme you had for your wedding in 5 words or less: Country, Casual, Rustic, Party

What are you favorite memories of your wedding day?
Bride: Seeing Matt for the first time – our reveal moment. Also, seeing the barn all done up.
Groom: When Courtney tapped me on the shoulder, and I saw her for the first time.

Best wedding related decision: Having it on the family farm, it was a lot of work, but was worth every minute. As well, hiring a day of wedding coordinator. She was our saving grace when making it a stress free day! ALSO, having an amazing photographer, like Niki, made us so happy!!

Favourite detail: The whole barn. We worked so hard to get it ready for wedding day, so we didn’t need many decorations to make it beautiful. Our bar was also pretty cool!

Advice for future brides & grooms: Absorb every minute of it. It goes by so fast!

Would you change anything if you could do it all over again? Try harder to take more time to take it all in. It went so fast, and I would love to relive it! There are so many people there just for you, and you never get enough time to see them all!

Best surprise of the day: Having the rain stop before the ceremony, and the sun coming out just as we were about to do our vows.

Anything else you’d like to add: Matt and I chose September 21st as our wedding date, because it is my parent’s anniversary, as well as my grandparents 50th anniversary. Putting it on this day marked the third generation to get married on September 21st. Doing it on the family farm just added to the perfection of the day. My parents did so much, and we can never thank them enough.
