Cindy & Steven

Toronto Ontario Wedding

Cindy and Steve accomplished the theme of  ‘City meets Country’ by having a ceremony in Toronto and reception in Strathroy…talk about adding to the wedding day excitement! I photographed the city portion of their celebration with Niki and Julie covered the guys getting ready in the morning and the party. There love story is a very sweet one – Cindy & Steve knew each other growing up but didn’t get together as a couple until many years later… their grandmothers were close friends back in “the old country” and are just thrilled that their families are now joined together!

What are you favorite memories of your wedding day?
Bride: It would have to be seeing Steven waiting at the end of the aisle at the church, and when I spit my gum out right in front of the church and made everyone laugh because I realized that the videographer caught me on tape.  Everyone couldn’t stop laughing.  Also the best moment hands down was when we rode into the reception on a Harley to do the garter toss.  Steven loved that!
Groom: It would have to be riding into the reception on a Harley to do the garter toss, and doing the photos on the farm down the street.  It was a nice quiet break for us.

Best wedding related decision: Getting the limo company that we did.  They were a little  pricier than most of the others, but in the end the driver was amazing and helped us keep on track of schedules and just made everyone laugh.  He was fantastic.  (Limo Company – Universal Limos out of St. Thomas)

Favourite detail: The flowers, the blue roses just brought out Steven’s eyes.  I know corny!  But the blue flowers just made everything seem fresh and light.

Advice for future brides & grooms: Do as much as you can in the beginning so you can relax more towards the end of the final months.  Also take time to still have date nights without talking about the wedding with your fiancee, it helps with dealing with the stress.  Most important… don’t let anyone interfere, it’s YOUR DAY!

Would you change anything if you could do it all over again? I would have loved to have more time to set up the tent / reception location!

Best surprise of the day: When Steven got me the sweetest card followed the most beautiful diamond earrings.  He’s so thoughtful and very sweet.

Anything else you’d like to add: I think our wedding was the best of both worlds… city meets country on an awesome summer day.

Favorite HRM picture from the day (and why?): I think it would have to be the one of Steven and I holding our flower girl and ring boy.  We just couldn’t stop smiling it was so sweet and a very happy moment.  Although I just love so many of our photos, this was a hard question to answer.
