I loved every minute of Ajay and Ashita’s wedding day (including about a million laughs and a beautiful costume change!) These two are incredibly fun to be around and I was so happy to capture their wedding day.
Describe the vision/theme you had for your wedding in 5 words or less: A classy intimate party
What are you favorite memories of your wedding day?
Bride: The night before and morning spent with my bridesmaids was very special to me. Having everyone we love so much travel such great distances to be with us was a constant throughout the day and made it very memorable. Having Ajay dance every dance was also just as memorable!!!!
Groom: Having the groomsmen going over the top during pictures. Overall just being able to have the chance to appreciate and celebrate our friends and family was what made our day so memorable.
Best wedding related decision: We are very lucky that both sets of parents and families get along really well. In order to preserve these relationships we cherish so much, we decided to finance our wedding ourselves. Although a difficult decision for any couple, we have absolutely no regrets and are grateful that our parents respected our decision and still provided valuable input.
Favourite detail: Having such a small wedding allowed us to have a joint bride/groom speech in which we were able to thank and address every guest.
Advice for future brides & grooms: Look at the day not as “your day as a couple” but rather as a chance to celebrate your friends and family.
Would you change anything if you could do it all over again? The day was pretty near perfect but if there was one thing, we would double check the music with our DJ.
Best surprise of the day: Having 5 friends (who call themselves the “Jangulis”) put together a surprise dance routine for us!
Anything else you’d like to add: We loved our wedding day and the festivities that surrounded it. Part of that was how flexible HRM and Lindsay was with our schedule and our events. She made picture taking a lot less awkward and she truly captured our wedding.
