Amanda + Dave

{Bellamere Winery London Ontario Wedding Photography}

Amanda & Dave had the perfect overcast day will little breaks of sunshine for their wedding! Dave is a mechanic for Porsche and was hooked up with a sweet car for the wedding day that we used as a great prop! Amanda put SO MUCH love into all the details for their beautiful cocktail reception, from the stacked candy bar to the awesome homemade signs! The most hilarous moment was the garter toss, Amanda at some point during the day lost her garter and when it came time for the toss, Dave was struggling to find something that wasn’t even there! Congrats Amanda & Dave, it was truly a pleasure capturing these memories for you to look back on for years to come!

Describe the vision/theme you had for your wedding in 5 words or less:  Modern, romantic, fun, timeless, and just ‘us!’

What are you favorite memories of your wedding day?
Bride: I loved doing our first look before the ceremony because it really allowed for a lot of ease throughout the rest of the day. The excitement of tapping Dave on the shoulder and watching his reaction as he turned around was such a great memory.
Groom: Seeing Amanda for the first time and watching her walk down the aisle.

Best wedding related decision: Our best decision was firstly hiring HRM for photography, and also having a wedding coordinator brought in for all the small details.

Favourite detail: I think my favourite detail was my decor (especially my candy bar)! I spent a lot of time and effort creating my own decor that was so true to us and I’m happy with how it all turned out!

Advice for future brides & grooms: Don’t sweat the little stuff. I know it sounds easier said than done, but the things you spend hours thinking about are the things no one else will ever notice. And a wedding planner/coordinator doesn’t hurt!

Would you change anything if you could do it all over again?  We chose to do a cocktail style reception which I loved, but if I could change anything I would choose to have seating for all of my guests instead of the “cocktail standard” which is seating for 65-70% of your guests.

Best surprise of the day: I think the best surprise of the day was how our wedding brought people together. We had had quite a bit of family related drama before the wedding, and I was so pleased to see that everyone had set their differences aside even if just for that day.

Favorite HRM picture from the day (and why?): This is a really hard question because there were hardly any pictures I didn’t love. My favourite would have to be the black and white picture of us kissing while I was being slightly dipped back. I think I love it because it’s so romantic and very much like a piece of art!
