Marnie & Jeff - April 26th, 2008

Marnie and Jeff were married on a perfect spring day at Trinity College Chapel. U of T is a wonderful setting for weddings as their are endless opportunities for photos on the grounds anytime of the year.

After the ceremony, we headed closer to the reception venue for photos of the bridal party. I love doing photos in downtown Toronto and Marnie and Jeff were up for any of the ideas I threw at them! The reception was held at the Rosewater Supper Club which gave us a few more great spots for photos before heading in for dinner. All the beautiful bouquets & flower arrangements were done by Cool, Green and Shady. Congrats to Marnie & Jeff!

Ghislaine, Eric & Melissa - Family Photos - April 26th, 2008

I love magnolia trees!!! My hubby and I were out for dinner and ran into some friends of ours, including Eric, Melissa & their mom Ghislaine. We started talking about how beautiful all the magnolia blossoms were…. and next thing I knew I had a mini family shoot scheduled the next day! We spent maybe 5 minutes and got some beautiful shots! I’ve wanted a magnolia tree for years and just a couple of weeks ago we finally planted one in our backyard, I can’t wait until it starts to bloom!

Freda & Karen - April 21st, 2008

Freda and Karen traveled to Stratford from New York City to be married in a small private ceremony exactly three years to the day they started dating. We met them at then lovely bed and breakfast where they were staying and then went to a park where they set up a hoopa to be married under. Lori Siska from Romantic Wedding Ceremonies who is always a pleasure to work with performed their ceremony (and referred the couple to me - thanks Lori!). After the ceremony, we did some urban shots around town and then went back to the b&b for yummy wedding cake and a change of clothes for some more casual portraits in the park. Congrats Freda & Karen and have a blast at your big NYC reception in August!

Vanessa & Tim - April 19th, 2008

I think it is pretty evident in these photos that Vanessa and Tim enjoyed every minute of their wedding day! They also had a great group of friends and family there to share in the laughs. This combination always makes our job such a pleasure.

Both the ceremony and reception were held at The Doctor’s House. This is a great venue with lots of hidden little spots for photos in and around the grounds of the chapel. We also took a walk down the main street of Kleinburg for some photos by the old train station.

Congrats Vanessa and Tim!

My assistant Niki took this amazing photo while waiting for the girls to come out of the limo before the ceremony.

Turnaround time for proofs & orders

Just wanted to remind all our clients that as per your contract, the turnaround time for wedding proof albums is 4-6 weeks. We promise that as soon as your proofs are ready we will contact you! Online galleries are often ready for posting prior to your proof album being ready for pickup and can be posted as soon as we receive your final payment.

We always try to get albums out as soon as possible but especially at the height of the wedding season you’re looking at closer to 6 weeks. Your pictures will be worth the wait, we promise!!

Turnaround for engagement proofs is 4 weeks, if you would like to display engagement photos at your wedding, we recommend booking your shoot at least 8 weeks before your wedding.

Reprint orders take 2-4 weeks, parent albums take 4-8 weeks. Bridal albums can take anywhere between 2-6 months depending on size of order/customization/retouching and when in our season the order is received (bridal album orders received in June will have a longer wait time that ones received in November). Allow 12-16 weeks for engagement signing books (starting from the date of the shoot). Rush services can be requested for an additional fee and are available depending on our lab’s current workload. Classic thank you cards (slip in style) take 1-2 weeks and customized, graphic design style cards take 4 weeks including design time. OUR HOLIDAY ORDER DEADLINE IS NOVEMBER 1st to get photos or parent albums done by December 24th!

Also, please keep in mind that as much as we love to update our blog as soon as possible after shoots, we also have many many wedding orders/albums on the go at all times. Think of the blog as a little bonus - it’s something we keep for ourselves, as a record of the work we do. However, customer service is our top priority so blog updates often take a backburner to responding to emails, putting together albums, returning phone calls and actually taking photographs!

Thank you for your patience,

Heather & Lindsay

Kathy & John - April 12th, 2008

The last time I met with Kathy and John, we were hiking down to the river in Niagara Falls for their engagement photos. When I arrived at Kathy’s Parents’ house on the wedding day, there were definitely no hiking boots to be seen!

Kathy looked stunning and set the mood for a beautiful wedding day! Despite a little rain, we were able to take lots of great photos indoors at Centennial Gardens Conservatory. It is always great to have a rain backup!

We headed back to the church for the reception where Kathy and John had hired a Polka Band to play a traditional song for the wedding party entrance!

PPOC Convention - April 11th-16th, 2008

From April 11th to April 16th, the Professional Photographers of Canada’s annual convention was held in London, Ontario! I had an absolutely wonderful time attending it, not just for the many inspiring workshops & speakers and the great trade show that had hundreds of album samples, equipment, etc. but also the best part - socializing with all the other photographers! It can get a little lonely being self employed so events like this are always great to talk shop and let loose…. there was an incredible cultural night at the Delta Armouries, an open mic night and an awards banquet! Can’t wait for the next convention!

myself with two awesome ladies - Trish from Custom Concept Photography and Yvonne from Photography by Yvonne

L to R: Julie from Dream Catcher, Trish, Yvonne, Robert (I think?), me, Cynthia from Cynthia Moore Photography and I’m not sure who the lady on the end is!

Monotonix - April 3rd, 2008

I had another chance to see my new favorite live band, Monotonix at Sneaky Dee’s in Toronto. It was not *quite* as crazy as the Chicago show but there were still plenty of antics and they didn’t disappoint!!

- Heather

My friend Darren bares an uncanny resemblance to the drummer of the band…
