Trish + Al

{London Ontario Winter Wedding}

What a totally unique, amazing, hilarious FUN FUN FUN wedding! I’ll just let the pictures do the talking for this one – no words can describe how awesome every unique little detail was! I love when a bride and groom isn’t afraid to make their wedding 100% “them” and Trish and Al certainly did that!

Theme/vision for the wedding: Fun, comfortable, silly, adventure

Favourite memories from the day:
Bride: Playing. I think I played all day – played dress up, played in the snow, played with guns, with candy, with Al, with friends and family on the dancefloor, and with the kids.
Groom: Trish’s smile – all day, there was that smile. It topped off the whole day.

Best wedding related decision: Choosing the people we wanted to stand with us. Al really wanted to have twice as many standing with him as I had standing with me. The support they gave him on such a stressful day was phenomenal.

Favourite detail: The cake toppers. They were the jumping point for the rest of the decor.

Advice for future brides and grooms:
Grooms – let your wedding party know why the photos are a big deal (cost, lasting images etc.)
Brides – splash out for hair and makeup before the event. We did ours in our hotel room and it rocked. We all felt like movie stars when we left. Generally I hide from the camera, but the new hair and make up made me feel extremely comfortable and I wanted lots of photos taken. The self confidence it gave me was so worth the money.  Also, prepare for many many hugs. Stud earrings suck. My studs were completely bent and made my head sore.

Would you change anything?: maybe get the decorations closer to town when the weather allowed so that we had more than 20 minutes to decorate before the rehearsal. A bunch of stuff didn’t make it to the tables. The world certainly didn’t end and everything went very very well.

Any surprises? My cousins came out wearing super hero capes and masks. I lost it. Best surprise ever!!
