Stephanie & Shawn

{The Great Hall Toronto Ontario Wedding Photography}

I have known Shawn and his family for many years, and reconnected with them when I photographed his brother Josh’s wedding a few years ago. The day that I photographed Kelly & Josh’s maternity photos just happened to be the day that Shawn proposed to Stephanie! They booked me way back in 2008 for their 2010 wedding and when their big day finally came I was delighted to be a part of it! As I watched Shawn’s face through the camera as Stephanie walked down the aisle, I could just tell how thrilled he was to be marrying her and my heart was full with happiness for my old friend! Stephanie is a beautiful person inside & out and I am so happy that Shawn has found such a perfect spouse. Stephanie & Shawn – I wish you many years of  wedded bliss and hope that we have many more photo shoots together in years to come!!

Describe the vision/theme you had for your wedding in 5 words or less: A classic fairytale

What are your favorite memories of your wedding day?
Bride: Having my family together, seeing Shawn when I was walking down the aisle (all my nerves disappeared), and my new sister-in-law singing “You and I” by Michael Buble at the reception.
Groom: Seeing friends and family coming together, seeing my bride walk down the aisle.

Best wedding related decision: Hiring HRM.  Our pictures are stunning but more then that Heather helped me (the bride) stay calm before the ceremony and took charge when I needed her too.  She was a big part of our day and we’re grateful she was there.

Favourite detail: Our theme was prominent throughout the entire day.

Advice for future brides & grooms: Remind yourself to focus on some moments – you won’t remember everything but if you tell yourself to take something in, you’re more likely to remember it later –  while my husband was saying his vows and repeating after the Reverend, he was stroking the back of my hands.

Would you change anything if you could do it all over again? My grandfather was too ill to attend, I wish he had been well enough to be there but we made sure he was still a part of our day smile

Best surprise of the day: We weren’t able to decorate the reception hall the day before the wedding, so walking in and seeing how beautiful it was made our day.

Anything else you’d like to add: Relax, laugh and enjoy yourselves.

Favorite HRM picture from the day (and why?): 542 (below left) – it was the theme of our day smile  and 576 (below right), it’s sweet and beautiful all in one.
