Samantha + Martel

{Windermere Manor Wedding Photography}

What a fun day this was! Martel’s whole family and many friends traveled from Bermuda to London, Ontario for this special day! Samantha & Martel have a whirlwind love story: they met in Bermuda and had a beautiful long distance relationship that turned into happily ever after! Samantha’s love for Disney made its appearance throughout the wedding in small little touches from the decor, cake and her fairytale dress! Their wedding party was a fun bunch who made the day a blast to capture and the happy couple are so adorable – we couldn’t be happier with the images and memories we captured for them!

Describe the vision/theme you had for your wedding in 5 words or less: Disney, fairytale, princess, castle, magical

What are you favorite memories of your wedding day?
Bride: all the speeches made were amazing and the dance mash up with my dad was by far the best thing
Groom: My favourite part lol the look on her face when I went for the garter. I also really enjoyed the speeches.

Best wedding related decision: we decided to go with paper florals for all the bouquets, boutonierres, and corsages as now they are all keepsakes for everyone

Favourite detail: the beauty and the beast cake and cake topper

Advice for future brides & grooms: Everything really does work out in the end the way it’s supposed to so don’t fret. Also, make sure to have someone, such as the coordinator, on top of the order and proceedings and that’s the schedule is followed. We almost missed cutting our cake and when we did remember it was rushed and no one saw us cut it because our secondary coordinator was not around!

Would you change anything if you could do it all over again? I would take some more time to spend with people at the wedding. I never got a chance to see everyone especially my own family, to stop and chat and just see how everyone is doing.

Best surprise of the day: Martel’s garter removal dance
