Maggie + Jeff

I think Maggie & Jeff’s wedding was one of the weddings I was most looking forward to this year and it didn’t disappoint! From the instant I met with this sweet couple and their cutie son I adored them and was so excited to be a part of their big day. The venue (Watson Porter Pavillion at Fanshawe Conservation Area), the weather, the decor, the LOVE.. everything was simply perfect for their celebration and such a joy to be a part of! Thanks so much for having me be a part of your awesome wedding!

Describe the vision/theme you had for your wedding in 5 words or less: Rustic chic, full of joy.

What are you favorite memories of your wedding day?
Bride: I thought the best part would be the reception – time to party and relax after the stressful stuff! Instead, my experience was just the opposite. I loved every minute of the ceremony, it was beautiful and romantic and intensely personal despite the 110-person audience! The ceremony itself was by far my favourite part.

Groom:Seeing every single one of our family members and friends having an amazing time celebrating our wedding.

Best wedding related decision: Working with so many “friendors”! We had a blast planning the wedding because we were surrounded by great friends the whole time. In particular, a close friend provided all of the catering and rentals for us, and we had many fantastic nights full of laughter and planning in the months leading up to the actual wedding.

Favourite detail: My gorgeous home-made paper flowers. Took a ton of work, but totally worth it!

Advice for future brides & grooms: I ignored this advice, and totally regret it, so I’ll put it out into the world – have a day-of wedding coordinator who actually knows your vision and can take all of the wedding-day pressure off of you.

Would you change anything if you could do it all over again? Just the whole “having a day-of” coordinator thing! A little less crazy on the big day would have been great.

Best surprise of the day: A hilarious, totally unforgettable speech from one of our groomsmen that literally left us screaming with laughter.
