Kelly + Joe

{Our Lady Queen of Martyrs Delhi Ontario Wedding Photography}

I think Kelly & Joe’s wedding was one of the rainiest days I have ever photographed, but this awesome couple didn’t let it get them down and we had an amazing day with them! We had a lot of fun exploring the country side with them – I must have seen 100 different spots along the way I wanted to stop at, and when we ended up at Bonnieheath Lavender Farm & Winery it didn’t disappoint (and me and my assistant couldn’t resist both buying a bottle of wine to bring home!) Thanks so much for Kelly & Joe and their wedding party for braving the rain and being so much fun to photograph!

Describe the vision/theme you had for your wedding in 5 words or less: Simply rustic with our favourite people

What are you favorite memories of your wedding day?
Bride: the smiles, laughter and tears from both us and all of our family and guests! I couldn’t help but smile all day and that’s exactly what I wanted it to be.. and of course I married the love of my life
Groom: of course marrying my best friend but I loved our first dance, Kelly surprised me by having our close friend sing the song. It meant a lot having him share that with us. And I loved how the dance floor was full the entire night with people dancing, smiling and having a great time

Best wedding related decision: We had some amazing vendors who were so talented at what they did, they made the day.

Favourite detail: All the small things that Joe and I put a lot of work into like the programs, thank you notes for the tables, building of the centerpieces and all of the antiques we incorporated into our decor, etc. We worked hard to make the day our own an I think we accomplished that

Advice for future brides & grooms: It’s okay to spend an extra dollar here and there for the things that you want, after all you only do this once and it should be the day you dream of

Would you change anything if you could do it all over again? Honestly we wouldn’t change a thing, we could not be happier with how our day went

Best surprise of the day:
Bride: Joe surprising me with a picture of our engagement that I didn’t know he got! Along with the letter he sent for me that morning
Groom: Kelly surprising me with our good friend singing our first dance song. Him and his music have been a big part of our life so having him sing our song was perfect

Anything else you’d like to add: Don’t stress the little things that can happen along the planning and during the day, regardless of what may happen, at the end of the day you will be married and that is the most important part!
