Christy & Brian

Ancaster Ontario Wedding

Christy & Brian were a referral from Tyler & Deb who were married back in 2008 (thanks guys!). It was no secret that this couple hated having their photo taken, but I am so glad that I pushed because we ended up with some beautiful photos that captured the beautiful venue for this nature loving couple. Once again, the rain didn’t get in the way…I am starting to think that it adds a little something special.

I can’t wait for October 1st…Christy’s Maid of Honour, Maureen will be saying “I do”!

Describe the vision/theme you had for your wedding in 5 words or less: Traditional, outdoor and romantic

What are you favorite memories of your wedding day?
Bride: Dance with my Dad, the ceremony is a complete blur but I hear it was nice too wink
Groom: Marrying me.

Best wedding related decision: Other than each other, the venue. It was beautiful and they were very organized.

Favourite detail: All the personal touches, favours, decorations, flowers and cake made by us and friends and family.

Advice for future brides & grooms: Assign responsibilities to friends/family for the day and provide itineraries for everyone, laminate some copies in case of bad weather.

Would you change anything if you could do it all over again? I would have bought more umbrellas, not only would they have kept more people dry but they look cute in the photos.

Best surprise of the day: It’s a tie. The mother/son dance song was the first dance song from the groom’s parents wedding so his Dad cut in half way to dance with his wife. And I think the special dance I did with my Dad blew everyone away.

Anything else you’d like to add: The photos are amazing, we are both famous for hating to have our picture taken but Lindsay made it easy. The photos really capture the whole day perfectly, she got all the little touches that we put so much time into and got great photos of everyone that was there too.

Favorite HRM picture from the day (and why?): Kiss on the bridge while leaving the ceremony. Just a classic shot (below right)
