Christine + Nathen

This was such a perfectly styled wedding! I absolutely loved Christine’s whole bridal look – simply stunning! Both the bride & groom and their wedding party were so much fun to be around, we had a great day with them!

Describe the vision/theme you had for your wedding in 5 words or less: Rustic, elegant, romantic

What are you favorite memories of your wedding day?
Bride: My favourite moment was when I got to see Nate for the first time.  We did first look photos before the ceremony and I would recommend it for anyone.  It was so nice to be able to see each other just the two of us.  He was so emotional which really helped me keep it together,  I remember just being so happy at that moment.  He looked so handsome and I loved that we got to have a few moments just the two of us to embrace each other and be together.

Groom: I loved the Ceremony.  It was something that we put together ourselves so was very personal.  We were able to add a bit of humor into it.  For months I had been joking I was going to say “after me” when the officiant said “repeat after me” and I actually had the courage to do it! The officiant said I was the first person to do that for him.

Best wedding related decision: I loved the venue that we chose.  We got married at the Bellamere Winery.  I loved how it gave you the feeling of country but it was also very elegant.  We had many compliments as to how beautiful the reception hall was.

Favourite detail: I loved my flowers and the table arrangements.  I would recommend Samira from Designs in Bloom to anyone.  She went above and beyond to make our wedding the romantic paradise that we wanted.  She added extra flowers where she thought it was needed and worked very hard to have it all completed in the proper time.

Advice for future brides & grooms: Make sure you hire a videographer for your ceremony.  We did not have it professionally done, we had a friend do it.  When we went to watch the video after we couldn’t hear what the officiant was saying.  It was pretty disappointing.

Would you change anything if you could do it all over again? Yes, I would have a professional record the ceremony so that we could watch it over and over again and remember all the funny quirks and loving memories that happened.  I would also insist that my officiant use a microphone to ensure that even the people at the back can hear what is going on.

Best surprise of the day: Best surprise of the day was when I gave Nate his secret groom’s cake.  Nate’s favourite things are beer, chocolate and of course me! So I thought what’s better than having a beer cake made filled with chocolate for our wedding day.   He had no idea and was so surprised.  The cake was a big hit with his friends.

Favorite HRM picture from the day (and why?): I love our first look photos, Heather was really able to capture how we felt at that moment.   I will always remember how I felt at that moment when I look back at those pictures.  It was such a special moment for us that we had been counting down to for so long.

Anything else you’d like to add: We had a wonderful day with my family and friends.  Heather did a great job using our surrounding and making the day go by so smoothly.    Thank you HRM
