Amanda & Ian
{Berkley Field House Wedding}

It only takes a moment to realize that Amanda and Ian are PERFECT together....and they know how to throw an awesome wedding too! These two are very good friends of Heather and I was flattered when they asked me to photograph their wedding (I was also happy that Heather could put down her camera(s) and enjoy the fun)

ps. Note from Heather: Ian & Amanda met at me & my hubby's stag and doe 7 years ago and I am BEYOND thrilled that these two love birds finally tied the knot and invited us to be a part of their awesome wedding! Love you both!!!

Describe the vision/theme you had for your wedding in 5 words or less:, Fun and sweet backyard party

What are you favorite memories of your wedding day?
Bride: Rounding the corner to walk down the aisle and being overwhelmed by the sight of our favourite people, all in one place.
Groom: The first look. Hands down.

Best wedding related decision:
Hiring a New Orleans style jazz band. We love the music and we got engaged in New Orleans so it was a perfect fit.

Favourite detail:
Keeping with the Portuguese tradition and having a late night seafood buffet.

Advice for future brides & grooms:
Make sure someone videotapes the speeches. They were so lovely and unscripted – we wish we could hear them all over again.

Would you change anything if you could do it all over again?
We would have kept one of the photographers later to capture all of the dance floor and late night antics.

Best surprise of the day: There weren’t any real surprises day-of but one of Amanda’s best friends flew in from California a few days before the wedding to surprise her – that was awesome.

Favorite HRM picture from the day (and why?): 343 because of how we are looking at each other. It’s super cute because Ian is holding the bouquet.

Anything else you'd like to add:
