Outdoor Wedding Ceremony

Sam + Chad
{Strathroy Ontario Wedding Photography}

I will always remember this wedding for so many reasons! When I arrived, Chad and his groomsmen were drinking beers in a boat in the backyard - it was a pretty hilarious scene! The day got even better with a beautiful location for their ceremony & reception, a family-friend's private property was the perfect location! From the photos in front of the motor home to the red solo cups, this fun wedding party knew how to party and have fun! They had me laughing all day! Even their adorable daughter Carlee was so fun to document, it is always  so sweet to document kids at their parent's weddings! This is also the first wedding I was able to play around with some fun techniques at golden hour with the "ring of fire" which I had learned at a recent workshop!

Amanda + Andrew
{Craigowan Golf Club Woodstock Ontario Wedding Photography}

Amanda & Andrew's wedding at Craigowan Golf Club in Woodstock was picture perfect! One of my favorite parts about this wedding was the AMAZING food! Amanda & Andrew had to switch venues at the last minute, and Craigowan went above and beyond to make sure all their wedding dreams came true - one big must was a completely vegan menu. And WOW did they deliver! I'm still daydreaming about the tasty buffet! Boom Box Bake Shop provided an equally yummy desert table. The grounds of Craigowan are so unique - not what you'd expect for a golf course - amazing stone ruins and beautiful natural areas!

Describe the vision/theme you had for your wedding in 5 words or less: Rustic Elegance

What are you favorite memories of your wedding day?
Bride: The crazy dance party at the end of the night!
Groom: Seeing my bride for the first time walking down the aisle. Also driving around in golf carts with the wedding party getting pictures done.

Best wedding related decision: Hiring HRM for are photographers! They were the first vendor we booked after picking the venue! So happy with the way the pictures turned out.

Favourite detail: The dessert table! The boombox bake shop in London created an amazing dessert buffet and everyone loved it!

Advice for future brides & grooms: Enjoy the whole planing process and try not to stress out about the little things to much. It all seems to come together in the end and it goes by way to fast.

Would you change anything if you could do it all over again? Nope! It all turned out better than imagined.

Best surprise of the day: After having to change venues only 3 weeks before the wedding it was amazing just to see everything come together so perfectly!

Rachael + Robert
{Civic Gardens London Ontario Wedding Photography}

Rachael and Rob were married on a perfect spring day!! It's always a special treat when we get to photograph a wedding with the magnolias in bloom! The Civic Gardens Complex at Springbank Park is a beautiful spot! I'm so excited to photograph their growing family as they welcome a new baby any day now!

Describe the vision/theme you had for your wedding in 5 words or less: Country garden meets modern

What are you favorite memories of your wedding day?
Bride: the ceremony- I was so excited that we where getting married I could barely contain myself. I'm fairly certain I was bouncing on the spot.
Groom: Getting to see my soon to be wife, for our first look

Best wedding related decision: Choosing a good photographer to capture everything. It was the first thing we booked after venue. The day goes by so fast but the photos are forever.

Favourite detail: The twinkle lights above the room (the lanterns were a close second)

Advice for future brides & grooms: Decide what you "musts" are, and develop your budget accordingly. There's a lot of places where you can save, but invest where you feel you will get the best payout.

Would you change anything if you could do it all over again? No, it was an amazing day that went off just how we were hoping!

Best surprise of the day: How absolutely perfect the weather was; rather unexpected for April but it was an amazing day

Anything else you'd like to add: Our day went off perfectly thanks to our fantastic vendors, we cannot thank them all enough!!

bride looking at groom

An oldie but a goodie... we are still playing catch up on our blog, and although this wedding was way back in 2014 it was such a sweet day that we just had to still share the photos!

This couple met back in elementary school (the groom's brother was actually in my grade 7 class!) and it was a fun reunion of old friends! One of their previous teachers was even there as a guest!

Congrats to this lovely couple - and thank you again for including me in your wonderful day!

Bethany + Matt

bride and groom kissing

Bethany & Matt thoroughly enjoyed their wedding day and we've got the photos to prove it! It was such a fun time following these two around all day to capture all of the magic and love. I especially LOVED that our bride kicked off her shoes and hiked to the bottom of a waterfall on our quest for beautiful wedding party photos. The Ancaster Mill is a gorgeous one stop spot for ceremony and reception and the weather was just perfect for their outdoor ceremony. We had a chance to sneak the newlyweds out of the party for a few minutes to capture some fun photos once the sun had set before saying goodbye.

Describe the vision/theme you had for your wedding in 5 words or less: Romantic, Fun, Great Food

What are you favorite memories of your wedding day?
Bride: Walking down the aisle, adventure hike with the bridal party at Tiffany Falls
Groom: Seeing bride at the end of the aisle

Best wedding related decision: Ancaster Mill

Favourite detail: Bride's grandmother's Swarovski earrings

Advice for future brides & grooms: Remind yourselves that your wedding is just another day and the only thing that really matters is that you have each other

Would you change anything if you could do it all over again? Nope!

Best surprise of the day: Matt asked the MOH to deliver a card to Beth the morning of the wedding

Anything else you'd like to add: We felt absolutely pampered by Lindsay & Matt and their enthusiasm for great shots! They were kind enough to take on non-photography tasks (i.e find out who parked in the driveway and ask them to move!!) and Lindsay let the bride know that two odd green bulbs on her bouquet looked like nipples when held in a certain position...
