bride looking at groom

An oldie but a goodie... we are still playing catch up on our blog, and although this wedding was way back in 2014 it was such a sweet day that we just had to still share the photos!

This couple met back in elementary school (the groom's brother was actually in my grade 7 class!) and it was a fun reunion of old friends! One of their previous teachers was even there as a guest!

Congrats to this lovely couple - and thank you again for including me in your wonderful day!

Bethany + Matt

bride and groom kissing

Bethany & Matt thoroughly enjoyed their wedding day and we've got the photos to prove it! It was such a fun time following these two around all day to capture all of the magic and love. I especially LOVED that our bride kicked off her shoes and hiked to the bottom of a waterfall on our quest for beautiful wedding party photos. The Ancaster Mill is a gorgeous one stop spot for ceremony and reception and the weather was just perfect for their outdoor ceremony. We had a chance to sneak the newlyweds out of the party for a few minutes to capture some fun photos once the sun had set before saying goodbye.

Allison + John

Groom Dipping Bride and kissing her

When I first met Allison casually through a friend, she already knew who I was, her future wedding photographer! She pretty much told me that before John had proposed! I was completely flattered that Allison & John booked their wedding date around my availability, what an honour! Everything about their wedding day was perfect, from the personal vows to the amazing September weather! The only September weekend that did not threaten rain! I had such a blast with them and their hilarous wedding party, it was definitely non-stop laughter all day long! Congrats Allison and John, we had a great time documenting your special day and look forward to capture more memories for you in the future!

Describe the vision/theme you had for your wedding in 5 words or less: autumnal, romantic, & personalized

What are you favorite memories of your wedding day?

Bride: Writing and reciting our own vows and the speeches!
Groom: Seeing my future wife for the first time walking down the aisle.

Best wedding related decision: Picking a venue that had a solid back-up option incase of rain (although we didn't need it!)

Favourite detail: Our signature cocktail drink - The Berger Bliss - complete with a gummy burger garnish!

Advice for future brides & grooms: Trust your photographer! Niki convinced us to venture into some brush (complete with thorns and thistles). She told us "trust me the light is amazing here" - and she was right! The photos are stunning!

Would you change anything if you could do it all over again? No!

Best surprise of the day: The weather! As a bride, this was the only thing that stressed me out during the whole wedding process because it was the one thing I couldn't control! A week out the weather forecast was calling for rain, but as we got closer to the big day it changed and turned into nothing but sun and the perfect temperature.

Anything else you'd like to add: Many of our married friends told us to be sure to enjoy every moment of the day because it flies by - we took this advice to heart and savoured every memory from our special day.

Mia + Brent
{London Ontario Wedding Photography}

To say I was excited about Mia & Brent's wedding would be an understatement!! I first met this wonderful couple a few years ago at Jackie & Russ's wedding and then again at Alisha & Will's When Mia emailed me in excitement to let me know that Brent had proposed and that she wanted to make sure I was available for whatever date they chose I was so thrilled!!

Their wedding day at Ivey Spenver Hall was absolute perfection (even with a little tornado warning while the girls were getting ready!). Mia & Brent, I can't thank you enough for trusting me to document your love story and hope to capture many more moments for you in the future!

Carly & Adam
{Sarnia Ontario Wedding Photography}

Carly is the cousin of one of my best friends Krista, who was also the maid of honor! I have know Carly for a long time, so photographing this moment for her was such a pleasure! I loved that we visited the spots that meant the most to Adam & Carly throughout their relationship, especially the fry truck, which is where they had their first date! I stayed til the very end and danced the night away with my friends and then got to capture one last photo of Adam & Carly walking away to their hotel at 1am!

Describe the vision/theme you had for your wedding in 5 words or less:  Sweet, Simple, Romantic

What are your favorite memories of your wedding day?
Bride: When Adam forgot what to reply during our vows. We all had a good laugh and it set the tone for the rest of the day.
Groom: Seeing Carly for the first time.

Best wedding related decision: Having the ceremony outside. The summer had been pretty miserable up until that day. It was beautiful!

Favourite detail: Our cake topper! Adam had a blog called the ugly pony when we first started dating. The caketopper's groom had a horsehead, like the blog mascot, and the bride had a unicorn head.

Advice for future brides & grooms: Remember to laugh!!! And tell your wedding party to give you reminders throughout the day to take it all in.

Would you change anything if you could do it all over again? Not a single thing.

Best surprise of the day: When a friend of mine brought our dog, Daisy, to the ceremony for pictures! She's an important part of our family.
