I'm doing things a little backwards, and posting Kemesha & Mphosi's wedding blog before their engagement session as today is their first wedding anniversary!!! We won't soon forget the wonderful day we spent with this loving couple. The day started with fun & laughter at the barber shop with the guys and was followed by sweet moments with the girls, a heartfelt ceremony at Windermere on the Mount's chapel and some absolutely stunning fall images! Congrats Kemesha & Mphosi, there's no doubt in my mind you will have a long and happy life together!!

Describe the vision/theme you had for your wedding in 5 words or less: simple, romantic and classic

What are you favorite memories of your wedding day?
Bride: Walking down the isle with my father and seeing everyone I love in one place.
Groom: Seeing her walk down the isle towards me, I didn't think I would get emotional but it was an overwhelming feelings right at that moment.

Best wedding related decision: Choosing the vendors that we did and letting them take over in their area of expertise. We honestly had the most stress free day as we just let go of worrying about the details and let others take over. It ensured we got to enjoy the day and take in all the things that really mattered to us aka family and friends.

Favourite detail: The tables with pictures of our grandparents and parents on their wedding days as well as those love ones who couldn't be with us.

Advice for future brides & grooms: Don't stress the small stuff (no one notices) and try and take in the day as much as possible as time really does fly.

Would you change anything if you could do it all over again? Nope, we had the most perfect day to us (even the weather was perfect). Just wish it hadn't gone by so fast.

Best surprise of the day: Hearing the vows we had wrote for each other for the first time.

Jessica + Chris
{Bellamere Winery Wedding Photography}

What a rainy wedding season we had last year! Bellamere is always a favorite spot of ours, and we have had lots of practice making the best of rainy days on their beautiful property! Jessica and Chris are a great couple who took the rain in stride and we had a wonderful day with them!

Describe the vision/theme you had for your wedding in 5 words or less: Rustic elegance

What are you favorite memories of your wedding day?

Bride: It's hard to pick a favourite memory because everything was amazing, but I really enjoyed the speeches. Hearing all of the nice stories and memories that our friends and family share with us, the aspects of our relationships they value and feeling the support they have for us was very special.

Groom: Seeing Jess for the first time as she walked down the aisle.

Favourite detail: We were really happy with how our décor turned out! The atmosphere at Bellamere is so cozy and the architecture is so beautiful on its own that it doesn’t need much in the way of décor, so the combination of our lighting, linens, floral arrangements and homemade touches really created exactly the look that we wanted.

Advice for future brides & grooms: No matter how busy you get, how hectic things get, or how much fun you are having, take a moment to step back, take a deep breath and really take everything in. Be proud of the hard work you have put in making the day what it is and be happy knowing that all of your closest family and friends are gathered in one room because they love you! And be excited knowing that, once all of the excitement of the big day is over, you get to spend the rest of your life with your best friend! Most importantly (and you will hear this many times throughout your planning, but it’s true), your guests won’t notice if something turns out differently than you planned, so don’t worry if everything doesn’t go exactly according to plan!The day will be amazing regardless. We attribute the success of the day to our incredible vendors! We would recommend that future brides and grooms choose vendors that have a great reputation, rather than those that are inexpensive. They have that great reputation for a reason!

Would you change anything if you could do it all over again? We wouldn’t change a thing!

Best surprise of the day:

Bride: When I arrived at Bellamere for the ceremony I had some time to spare. Since I had not seen the reception space, Patti secretly took me to see how everything had come together. This was great because it eased my nerves and it was fun knowing all of our guests were on the other side of the doors and couldn't see me!

Groom: While taking photos outside, Patti brought us a platter of the hors d'ouvres to eat!

Kelsey + Sean
{London Hilton Wedding Photography}

When Kelsey contacted me to photograph her wedding I was thrilled! I used to work with Kelsey at American Eagle many years ago and seeing some familiar faces was a great treat!

They had a chilly fall wedding in October, with flurries in the morning but by the time their ceremony started the flurries stopped and the sun peeked out! They had a beautiful ceremony at St. Mary's followed by family photos on the front steps. We then found some beautiful colour fall colours at Gibbons Park, exactly what Kelsey was looking for! After a quick stop downtown for some urban shots we headed to the Hilton for their reception. My favourite memory is the best man's speech, at the end he took his shirt off and had Kelsey and Sean's initials shaved into his chest hair - hilarious! Congrats Kelsey and Sean, I loved being a part of your day, it was perfect!

Chelsie + Brandon
{Windermere Manor Wedding Photography}

You'd never know from looking at these photos how chilly it was on Chelsie & Brandon's wedding day.... we were surprised with SNOW on their Oct 17th wedding day! Despite the cold, it was a beautiful fall day and we loved every minute of their wonderful wedding! Chelsie's dress was one of the most beautiful dresses I've ever seen and it was so nice to see some familiar faces in the wedding party and at the reception!
